Butterscotch Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda 2 eggs
½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon 3 cups oats, uncooked (Quick or Old Fashion)
1 cup butter, softened One 12-oz. Pkg. (2 cups) Nestlé Toll House Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
¾ cup sugar

Preparation

BAKE: at 375°F.

TIME: 7-8 minutes for chewier cookies, 9-10 minutes for crisper cookies.

MAKES: about four-dozen 3-inch cookies.

NOTE: This cookie is difficult to get off the cookie sheet. You need to use high quality cookie sheets. Definitely undercook them (check at the 7 min mark) as I find the butterscotch morsels seem to burn if they end up on the edge of the cookie. Use a good spatula to remove them since you are taking them off the sheet on the early side of done. You may have to use your had to keep it together as you are taking it off the spatula. I use a metal spatula, as the cookies seem to stick less to that kind. Also, you must hurry to get these cookies off the sheets to the cooling racks or you will have a tough time removing them at all. With all that in mind, good luck making them, and even better, eating them!
